Into the Gray

A miserable, terrible war with a mysterious ending which took place somewhere in the neighborhood of 5319-5322.

The War of Magic lasted for several years. Ended 50 years ago, suddenly and horribly. Records are very scattered. The exact dates are iffy because the population didn’t keep detailed records and now there is debate about the specifics. 

We do know that a bunch of specific cities were decimated. Monstrosities summoned for the war spread out and destroyed unprotected towns. It was a mutually assured destruction.

Involved Parties

Kelderheim, the North, was known for magical prowess.

Conqel, the South, was known for its technological abilities. In other words, creating magical items rather than having strong wizards. 

Post War

Post war, communities are pretty mixed. Drows aren’t generally from the area. They generally come from the east beyond the mountains. It’s very dangerous to go to or beyond the mountains. The Drow tend to act like vampires (in during the day, out during the night).
