New Dawn Warehouse

Place, establishment

Noteworthy. Our vision of animal experiments took place here. Hestor and his Planetar friends were trapped in the bottom floor. At least one multiplanar creature was still alive here, amongst several aggressive monstrosities. Many journals and memos written by New Dawn employees were stored here.

New Dawn Warehouse

The ruins of a warehouse that served as a legitimate business front for New Dawn while harboring a secret interior for animal experiments and sinister technological advancements.

#places/perfrind

The New Dawn warehouse in Perfrind contains a large amount of information as well as activity. Based on Hulderic‘s journals, it appears that New Dawn was previously headquartered somewhere in Kelderheim, but eventually came south to Conqel as things were not going well up north - perhaps due to the technological focus they had. This move was likely made sometime around 5310, though the clues do not indicate whether the warehouse was already in operation beforehand.

Evidence suggests that the primary purpose of this facility was to research and advance scientific discoveries for use in wartime.

The Building

The boarded window on the second floor seems related to the animal breakout we experienced in our vision.

The front door is locked, but is able to be picked, granting entryway into a lobby with a desk and waiting area. There are visitor logs inside the desk.

One door leads into the rest of the building with a note that reads: “This door is locked for your safety. Go beyond it at your own peril.” The building uses some sort of magical electricity, which becomes audible beyond this door.

Beyond the door is a series of hallways and stairs, leading both up and down.

Many rooms and hallways are in complete disrepair, as if something catostrophic occurred there.

Intact offices, doors, and drawers are often booby-trapped and always difficult to break through in an emergency.

Further into the building is a showroom, as if designed to show a legitimate research front to visitors or auditors.

The building also features a teleportation room, which can be logged into portal teleportation devices as an anchor point.

In the basement are four cylinders designed to contain Celestial beings (or at least, they held Planetars) and siphon their energy, seemingly to power the building.

Further investigation shows there is a trap door that leads beneath the basement. Here are storage containers that seem to hold the power siphoned from the Planetars.
