Session Summary

We continue town life. Pharèl pranks Arachne by waking her up while looking like her, using Alter Self. Later, the translation of the writing on the trees comes back, "THE NORTH INVADES, THE SOUTH DOES NOTHING, NO MORE SHALL THEY STEAL, RETURN TO THE BALANCE, THESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESUN", along with the ϕ symbol, which creates quite a stir. Hedvika calms everyone down by agreeing to install much higher levels of security. Later, we formalize the heist: Twinkletoes and Pharèl are to keep Hedvika entertained during the festival while Arachne, Star, Wash, and Elzara break into the mansion to look for the portal. Wash is concerned that the festival may attract actual domestic terrorists.

Monday evening

• Elzira is practising magic

• Wash is following up with Elzara about his shield (this evening)

• Star asks about his studded leader as well (starting tomorrow)

• Arachne fell asleep and I cast Alter Self to make myself look like Arachne, then go to shake her awake as a prank.

• Arachne has dreams where it feels real and can’t tell she’s dreaming.

• She is not perceiving her immediate surroundings.

• She touches my face with both of her hands and is very confused.

• “No, we gotta talk to Grace. We gotta go.”

• She realizes it’s me and scowls at me.

• I am laughing and grinning and decide to follow Arachne to her shrine.

• I learn there was someone else at the shrine the other day. I assume this is who Grace is.

• For the next hour I sit and practice Alter Self next to her in an attempt to distract her. 

• I go back to the pawn shop to see if they have news on upgrades for my staff.

• Twinkletoes busks, earning ???.

• Star goes to the stables.

• A normal riding horse would cost 75gp.

• 3gp to rent for a day + liabilities.

• There’s a buzz where Star was asking around, someone came back with something. It’s the translation of the trees.

• Star has followed the runner to the town hall. Chatter about what this means. Non-minor concern about the ability to keep everything and everyone safe. It seems that as long as Hedvika will put up adequate defenses, they do believe that it’ll still be fine. It is assumed this is targeted at Hedvika as being from the north and building his wealth here.

• Elzara and I get our paychecks for work. I earn 1gp. #income

• We chit-chat at dinner. I laugh about looking like Arachne, which she is still not amused about. I talk about finding cool stuff at the pawn shop. Elzara asks about the end of the town meeting.

• I follow Wash over to pick up a keg and offer to help pay but he waves me off.

• We all meet at Wash’s and Kai’s house. 

• Wash asks about how we got back to robbing the house.

• I shrug and say I wanted a festival.

• Star says he wanted to know whether Hedvika deserved a breakin.

• Twinkletoes and I will keep Hedvika and co entertained, let Elzira chat him up as well.

• Arachne and Star will break into the mansion. 

• Star wants to use the letters found on the trees to throw off suspicion. ^b279d6

• Wash points out that the Festival might be a good target for domestic terrorists.

• Star points out I never got my advance payment.
