Session Summary

We spend a week in New Flavem where I unsuccessfully look for work in restaurants before accepting a job further out. Arachne and Wash build a temple, while I learn Blink and Mirror Image from Arachne. Twinkletoes performs with her viol, Elzara practices her moves while blindfolded, and Wash searches for Kai. Kai returns and gives us our payment of 100gp each, and we give him the orb and robot parts we found. We consider whether to go to Perfrind or follow Wash's trail and learn about Sylvia, who Kai and Wash believe to be a magical creature. We eventually decide to visit Perfrind to find artifacts and materials to sell.

I have gone out to look for restaurants. The first few nicer places are not interested in hiring me on for a short-term engagement. There is a place a little further out who is interested in maybe working with me. I accept the job. (1 week = 7cp)

Arachne and Wash go to build a temple. They find some nice rocks to stack up. Wash wanders off.

I search for Arachne to see if she’ll help him learn Blink and Mirror Image. She uses a lot of “energy” and “vibes” and hand motions to explain how it works.

“Please stop calling the wrong number, please, call your god.” Wash to Arachne as she medidates at the temple they built.

Twinkletoes wants to go to any place that seems well-populated with her viol to perform. She impresses people with her playing.

Elzara wants to focus on practising her moves. She asks for people to hit her while she is blindfolded to develop her Blind Sight. She practices until she can just feel movement in the air up to 10ft around.

Wash is looking around and asking for Kai. He should be back by the next Monday. The first thing he does is look at Wash with a very confused look on his face. “What happened? And why are you here now?”

Wash has a bird now. “He’s talking to you.” He looks to Kai. “I’m human Wash, this is human Wash.” #characterlore

“What happened here.” Kai asks us.

“He’s some kind of god now.” I shrug.

We kind of spit out things about ego-death, his brain or soul being split into a lot of fractions, and swamps or sewers, and warehouses. #clues

“You left behind quite a mess for the few days I was trying to figure out where you were,” Kai says.

“They deserve it.” The bird flaps his wings.

“Well… I guess at least you’re back. Would you say something is wrong with you, Wash?” Kai says.

“The bird is in perfectly fine health.” “And you, human Wash?” “I’m doing perfectly fantastic.”

Kai says he got the money for the goods Wash dropped off. He is continuing to try and figure out what happened but to no avail. Wash doesn’t appear to think anything is wrong. “I mean my mom was always trying to kill me.” Something about last Tuesday and a millenia ago. #clues

Kai then gives us our payout. We each receive 100gp. He asks whether we brought anything back from our search. #items #income

Arachne hands over the orb she found. Kai is impressed with its condition. He says its some kind of thrown weapon. It apparently explodes on impact. #items #lore

I show him the star map. He says there is probably a market for it.

Elzara hands over the robot parts she is carrying. #items

I explain there wasn’t much to bring back, and explain the portal we found, how Wash came through it, and that we destroyed it as per his wishes.

He asks whether there were any clues about another town. I mention that we found some research notes mentioning Perfrind as a source of materials and/or manufacturing.

We decide whether to go to Perfrind or follow old Wash’s trail.

Wash insists on knowing what she looked like. He thinks she was a magical creature. He says she’s dead as she’s “No longer with us.” #clues

Kai and Wash go back and forth about what Sylvia might have been. A mimic? A genie? #clues

Wash tries to sense portals in this town but fails to detect any.

Twinkletoes is running every morning. (Longstrider)

I look for somewhere to store some cash. I make a deposit of 50gp to the bank. #costs #storage

Perfrind is a lost town, the closest of the lost towns to New Flavem off to the east. It is likely a few days’ travel.

Wash delayed something and ruined somebody’s bachelor party??? #clues

Going north would be to at least Whethel. Perfrind is southeast from New Flavem.

If we go to Perfrind it will likely take a week to a week and a half. I hope to find clues about New Dawn. We hope to find artifacts or materials to sell.

Tuesday morning, at 8 am the 9th day of Twott 5372, we are ready to begin our journey to Perfrind. (Should this not be the 11th day?)
