Session Summary

The party goes back to shore and Arachne gets her deposit back. Wash finds Phantom Thief's footprints near Kamal's house, who is too naive to have done it himself. The group splits up to look for Dina Maeve. I give copper coins to bartenders and shopkeepers for information and find out she's at the Sleepy Seal inn. I introduce myself and ask her for work, but she seems unimpressed with me.

I’m holding it together and manage not to get seasick on our way back to shore.

There is a boat to the northeast on the horizon and the brightly lit pillars. Arachne goes to get her deposit back.

6am Monday morning After half an hour of checking the boat, the owner seems satisfied and returns Arachne’s deposit. “Be sure to let your friend know that nothing has gone wrong.” #letters

Wash found Phantom Thief's footprints walking up the fence of where Kamal lives. This is one of the top suspects. #clues

Wash gifts Twinkletoes the shrinking potion and Elzara the bigger potion. They each get three. #items

We are going to go to Kamal. Wash’s friends don’t think he’s smart enough to have pulled this off. He is too naive for how Orna operates. Possible Orna has framed him. A heavy influence on him is Dina Maeve.

Wash tells us the intent right now is that Kamal can’t be our guy because he’s just too stupid.

Star and Arachne go with Wash, the rest of us look for Dina. Southwest is the most specific answer we get. Most aren’t familiar with her.

On the way over I tip a bartender for information. She likes to stay abreast of information and visits shops and bars. He suggests going to commercial areas. She does some political advising and keeps her nose to the ground.

The plan - go to the shops and ask shopowners if they can point her out to me. I tip copper coins to whoever is helpful. Most say they haven’t seen her today. Entering into the east portion of the sector, they start saying they’ve seen her recently (about four people in). They point me northwest and I start getting specific shop tips. One of the shops says she was probably heading north to an inn where she’ll probably be eating an early dinner. #relationships

We head to the Sleepy Seal, the inn to the north.

Inside there is a little dining area. Based on the description we think we see someone who looks like her. “Dina Maeve?” I walk over and ask.

“That’s my name, if it’s urgent I can help?“

It’s about 4pm.

I list off my resume in a long ramble, including the festival, helping Orna, and handling owlbears. I like to meet people!

“You’re involved with the 30 owlbears??” rubbing her forehead.

“I’ve been known to handle dangerous situations.”

I explain that I want to learn how to be better. She tells me 30 minutes out of the way of the site.

We chat more and she is clearly unimpressed and concerned about this entire thing.

I basically ask for work but get not a lot of information. “You’re not for most situations.” She comments under her breath.
